Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Houston Alexanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kid closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kid is thwarting Alexanders's attempts to control the position.

Kid decides to return to a standing position.
Alexanders throws a right and a left that Kid avoids nicely.

Alexanders closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Alexanders wants to get back to striking at distance but Kid won't allow it.
Kid is trying to break the clinch but Alexanders has him pressed against the cage.
Alexanders tries to break free but Kid pushes him back against the cage.

Kid wants to break the clinch but can't.
Alexanders is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kid is defending well for now.
Alexanders swings wildly with an uppercut but Kid uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kid gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Kid slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Kid takes a little break here. Alexanders wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Kid stands up.

Alexanders clinches up with Kid and pushes him back against the cage.
Kid is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Alexanders gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Alexanders.
Alexanders pushes Kid back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Alexanders lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kid backwards.
Kid wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Alexanders wants to break the clinch but can't.
Alexanders creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kid's defenses.
Kid wants a takedown.
Alexanders has Kid pressed against the cage, preventing Kid from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kid keeps control of Alexanders as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kid tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Alexanders smiles and moves away.

Kid shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kid was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Alexanders is wriggling around trying to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kid is looking for the choke from the back position but Alexanders is controlling his hands well.
Alexanders is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Kid off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Alexanders is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Kid has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
