The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eggleston wants to slow Mysteryo down by chopping away at his legs.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Eggleston fails to land with a series of punches.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mysteryo wants to stand up but Eggleston is controlling him.
Mysteryo is trying to keep Eggleston in close.
Eggleston wants to pass the guard but Mysteryo is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Eggleston moves into range and clinches up with Mysteryo.

Mysteryo is fighting off a takedown attempt but Eggleston is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mysteryo to the mat. Mysteryo regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Eggleston connects with a nice short shot to Mysteryo's temple.

Eggleston is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mysteryo sees it coming and defends easily.
Eggleston uses his free foot to push down on Mysteryo's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mysteryo.

Eggleston lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mysteryo hang on?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eggleston throws some wild stikes that Mysteryo manages to avoid easily.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Eggleston is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mysteryo can't fight it off and eventually Eggleston manages to take the fight to the floor. Mysteryo looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Eggleston accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Eggleston is pushing down on Mysteryo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mysteryo is fighting to maintain full guard but Eggleston has managed to sneak the leg through.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Eggleston, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
