Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph McKillskey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Joseph McKillskey was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Joseph McKillskey!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Michaels shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Michaels showed some decent athleticism there.

Michaels is working for a submission of some sort.
McKillskey is looking for a sweep. Michaels is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Michaels wants to control but McKillskey is keeping him busy.
McKillskey is pressing down on Michaels's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Michaels works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Michaels sitting and controlling from the half guard.
McKillskey is looking to improve his position.

Michaels trying to control the action but McKillskey is working from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McKillskey is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Michaels's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Michaels's back!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McKillskey is striking from the back but Michaels escapes and manages to recover to half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Michaels.
Michaels sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but McKillskey is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Michaels wants to lay and pray for a moment but McKillskey keeps working.
McKillskey dodges the ground and pound from Michaels.

Michaels looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Michaels swings around for an armbar but McKillskey sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Michaels's guard.

McKillskey trying to control the position from guard on top but Michaels is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Michaels preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Michaels is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McKillskey defends well.
Michaels is breathing heavily.

McKillskey postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Michaels is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McKillskey, into his guard.
McKillskey is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McKillskey is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Michaels is looking to work some ground and pound but McKillskey has wrist control.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kevin Michaels dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Michaels takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
McKillskey scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
A nice combination there by McKillskey.
McKillskey moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Joseph McKillskey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McKillskey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Michaels circles away quickly and effectively.
McKillskey throws a right and a left that both miss.
McKillskey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McKillskey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Michaels misses with a body kick.
McKillskey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Michaels is fending him off so far but McKillskey persists. Nope, Michaels circles away and we're back to standing.
McKillskey connects with a single shot there.

McKillskey moves out of range as Michaels throws a body kick.
Michaels takes a head kick and keeps coming.
McKillskey lands a nice shot that snaps Michaels's head back.
McKillskey scores with a decent looking hook.
McKillskey fails with an attempt to clinch.
A nice combination there by McKillskey.
McKillskey lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
McKillskey throws a right and a left that Michaels avoids nicely.
McKillskey is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
McKillskey throws a low kick, looking for Michaels's leg but Michaels calmly moves out of range.
McKillskey shoots for a takedown but Michaels saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
No joy there for McKillskey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McKillskey throws a right and a left that both miss.
Michaels showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McKillskey.
Michaels uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McKillskey.

and Michaels counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kevin Michaels has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph McKillskey.

Michaels has gone for a leg lock! McKillskey slips out almost immediately though and dives into Michaels's guard.

McKillskey goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Michaels rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McKillskey's guard! Nice work there by Michaels!

McKillskey tries to buck Michaels off but Michaels is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
