Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kris Savage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Louis!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Louis has a takedown stuffed.
Louis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Savage sprawls well. Savage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Louis gets slowly back to his feet.
Louis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Savage avoids it really well and circles away.
Kris Savage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Louis.
Horrible takedown by Louis or perhaps it was just good defense by Savage which made him look bad.
Savage shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Savage was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Savage swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Louis is now in Savage's guard. A big mistake from Savage there, giving up the dominant position!

Savage working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Louis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Savage is tightening it up a little... Louis has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Louis reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Louis taps out! nice BJJ there by Savage!
