Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dan Akari!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Severence scores with a four punch combination!
Akari closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Severence can't do much from the bottom here.
Akari wants to control but Severence is keeping him busy.
Akari is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Severence knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Akari throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Akari is trying to get an arm triangle but Severence is defending well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
You can see the frustration on Severence's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Severence knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Akari on the ground.
Severence is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Severence is looking to control Akari's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Severence avoid being mounted?

Akari is keen to just control but Severence is a slippery customer.

Akari wants to work for an arm triangle but Severence is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Severence tries to kick Akari off but Akari keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Akari is working for a submission of some sort.
Akari looks gassed!
Akari is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Severence is just riding it out for now. Akari eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Severence wants to control but Akari is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Severence wants to get back to his feet.
Severence trying to control from the bottom.
Severence pushes Akari off looking to stand but Akari dives back in and keeps control.
Akari seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Akari throwing shots but Severence is blocking nicely.
Severence has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Akari is working away from the top position though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Severence bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Akari's head backwards.

Akari dives in and grabs Severence's left leg, looking for a takedown. Severence pushes down on Akari's head and hops out.
Severence closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Akari fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Akari looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Akari is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Akari drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Akari as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Severence screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Akari! Nice submission victory there!
