Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ronnie Lott!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Penn misses with a wild body shot.
Penn cracks Lott with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Lott throws a leg kick but Penn sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Penn stuffs the takedown.

Penn gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Penn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lott defends well.
Penn keeping moving, preventing Lott from controlling successfully.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lott stands and steps away. Penn gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Penn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A looping hook to the body misses from Penn. Lott does a little dance to reset his feet.

Lott shoots in looking for a takedown. Penn tries to sprawl out of it but Lott keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Penn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Penn lands a nice looking kick to the body. Lott takes a step back to recover.

and Lott connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Penn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lott rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Penn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Penn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lott.

Lott takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Penn fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lott.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lott lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Lott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Penn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lott has managed to get both his arms back between Penn's legs - danger averted.

Penn leaves Lott with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Lott gets to mount! Penn was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Penn sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Lott passes the guard and advances to mount!
Penn can't escape the position.
Ronnie Lott has got the better of the ground game so far.
Penn is trying to reverse the position but instead Lott has taken his back - oops!
Penn tries to escape but Lott has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Can Penn hold on?! Lott is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Lott keeps control of the position as Penn tries to break free.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mark Penn showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Penn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
