Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglass Devine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nova Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain is looking to clinch but Devine is avoiding it.
Cain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Devine tries to avoid it but Cain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Devine to the ground. Devine escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Devine instigates a clinch.
Devine is working for takedown but Cain is calmly controlling the position for now.
Devine misses with a knee strike.
Devine drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Devine tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Douglass Devine. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cain has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Devine is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Devine drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cain pulls his leg out and moves away.

Devine is fighting to break Cain's control of his arms but Cain is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Cain is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Devine is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Devineis looking to pass into half guard but Cain pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Cain is in guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Devine counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Devine thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Cain is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Devine wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cain keeps working.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Devine accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Cain is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Devine tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Devine is looking to escape.
Devine trying to control but Cain postures up.
Cain tries to stand and escape but Devine is controlling the position.

Cain decides to stand up.

Devine closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Devine lands in his opponent's guard.

Devine gets to his feet. Cain looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Devine thows a body kick. Cain tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Devine tries to clinch there but Cain circles away.
Devine fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Devine throws a head kick that Cain semi-blocks.

and Devine counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Devine.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cain has momentary wrist control but Devine slips an elbow through the middle.
Devine looking to pass the guard.
Devine seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Devine is working Cain over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cain utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Devine tries to stand but Cain is controlling from the bottom.
Devine won't allow Cain to sweep him here.
Cain can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Devine controls the pace.

Devine gets to his feet - Cain follows without any prompting.
Cain with a poor takedown
and Devine makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A head kick by Cain misses
and Devine counters with a big head kick but Cain shrugs it off.

Cain scores a takedown into full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cain loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Devine scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Cain land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Cain stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nova Cain!
