The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aziz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Xavier avoids it really well and circles away.
Xavier misses with a jab, cross combination.

Xavier bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aziz sneaks back into half guard.
Aziz manages to get to full guard.
Aziz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Aziz manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Xavier really wants to buck Aziz off and get back to his feet.

Kai Xavier has got the better of the ground game so far.

Xavier pushes Aziz off, looking to escape but Aziz dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Xavier is forced to tap! The fight is over!
