The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Da Silva has Murzyn up against the cage in a clinch.
Da Silva jumps guard but Murzyn stands there with Da Silva around his waist. Da Silva gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Da Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Murzyn drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Murzyn throws a strike aimed at the side of Da Silva's head but Da Silva avoids it well.
Da Silva is looking for a sweep.
Da Silva stops Murzyn from passing to mount.
Murzyn sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Da Silva is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Murzyn is looking to work some ground and pound but Da Silva has wrist control.
Murzyn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Da Silva throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Murzyn was covering up waiting for the punch and Da Silva finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Da Silva has gone for a leg lock! Murzyn slips out almost immediately though and dives into Da Silva's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Murzyn throws a strike but Da Silva rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Da Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murzyn swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Murzyn counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Murzyn.

Murzyn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Da Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Murzyn has managed to get both his arms back between Da Silva's legs - danger averted.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
