Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Third Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nasty Dread (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Boy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to New York. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dread scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Boy gets back to half guard.
Dread landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Boy is looking for a sweep. Dread is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Boy is pressing down on Dread's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Boy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boy is on top in guard.
Boy trying to control but Dread is working from the bottom.
Boy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Boy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boy is pushing down on Dread's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dread is fighting to maintain full guard but Boy has managed to sneak the leg through.

Dread tries to kick Boy off but Boy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Dread avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Boy.
Dread is trying to stand back up but Boy is controlling him

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dread is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Boy's half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Boy is pressing down on Dread's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Boy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dread avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Boy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Boy works his foot free and advances to mount.
