PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reed Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Tim Taylor is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Taylor wants it to stay on the feet.
Taylor defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Richards.

Taylor should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Richards moves in looking to clinch but Taylor pushes him off.

Taylor clobbers Richards with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Taylor is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Richards is controlling him well.

Taylor parries the strikes from Richards easily there. Richards is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Taylor to escape.
Taylor wants to get back to his feet.

Richards stands up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Richards takes a shot to the body in his stride.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Reed Richards will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Tim Taylor's cut.
That's time! Richards's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Taylor might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Richards looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Taylor is fending him off so far but Richards persists. Nope, Taylor circles away and we're back to standing.
Taylor lands with a hook. Richards tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Tim Taylor has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Reed Richards is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Taylor dips to his left and cracks Richards with an uppercut!

And that's the end of the fight!
Reed Richards showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Richards, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
