Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eddie McQueen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thaigo Leites (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McQueen comes to the cage accompanied by Limp BizkiT - Rollin' . Leites has chosen Sunday Bloody Sunday - U2 as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie McQueen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thaigo Leites!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leites's corner calls for a 1-2. Leites obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
McQueen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Leites circles away quickly and effectively.
McQueen throws a series of punches but Leites moves out of range.
McQueen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Leites lands a head kick. McQueen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
McQueen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Leites.
Leites connects with a right hand. McQueen shakes it off.
McQueen moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Leites has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McQueen finds it's way round the side to connect with Leites's head.
Leites throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Leites throws a right and a left that McQueen avoids nicely.

Leites feints and as McQueen raises his hands in defense, Leites changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Leites with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Leites thows a big elbow that misses.
Leites throws and elbow that misses. McQueen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Leites's guard. Nice move by McQueen!

Leites has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McQueen is working away from the top position though.
McQueen tries to pass the half guard into mount. Leites knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
McQueen throws the left hand but Leites avoids the punch easily.
McQueen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
McQueen throws a nice looking combination but Leites bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Leites connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McQueen's hands.
Leites uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McQueen has time to react.

Leites shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McQueen is trying to defend but Leites finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Leites is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McQueen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McQueen has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Leites working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McQueen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McQueen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McQueen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Leites has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
McQueen wants to pass the guard but Leites is keeping the position.

McQueen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McQueen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Leites paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

McQueen tries to get to full guard but Leites has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Eddie McQueen will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Leites gets in close and instigates a clinch.
McQueen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Leites has him pressed against the cage.

Leites escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McQueen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Leites has his foot on McQueen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McQueen works his way back into a safe position though.
McQueen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Leites's head.

McQueen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Leites's waist but Leites gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McQueen off to one side.
Leites's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Leites duly obliges.

Leites bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Thaigo Leites comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think McQueen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
