The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kannon throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Castellaneta fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kannon manages to avoid it.
Kannon throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Castellaneta lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Castellaneta catches Kannon with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Kannon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kannon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Castellaneta defends it easily.
Castellaneta wants to control from the top but Kannon keeps moving.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Castellaneta has hold of Kannon's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kannon tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Castellaneta cranks the arm and Kannon screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kannon, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
