Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Arenas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knut Krauthans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Mark Arenas has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Arenas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Knut Krauthans!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Krauthans darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Krauthans is working for a submission of some sort.

Krauthans is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Arenas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Krauthans is working away from the top position though.

Arenas looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Krauthans thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Arenas's head.

Krauthans is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Krauthans is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Krauthans moves into full mount! Arenas won't be happy about that!

Krauthans gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Krauthans tries to clinch up but Arenas circles away and keeps his distance.
Krauthans tries to bum rush Arenas with a series of wild strikes but Arenas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Arenas stuns Krauthans with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Krauthans has managed to clinch.
Arenas is trying to break the clinch but Krauthans has him pressed against the cage.
Arenas wants a takedown but no success here.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Arenas has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Krauthans avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Arenas fails to pull guard.

Krauthans looking to break Arenas's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Arenas remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Krauthans will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Well, with Krauthans on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Arenas is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Krauthans cracks Arenas with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Arenas from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
I would not like to be Arenas right now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Arenas defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Krauthans's arms.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Krauthans tries to clinch but Arenas is having none of it.

Krauthans has hold of one of Arenas's legs. Arenas is fighting the takedown attempt but Krauthans gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Krauthans thows a huge punch but Arenas dodges it nicely.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Krauthans slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Krauthans is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Arenas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Krauthans.

Krauthans stalling away here and it's allowed Arenas to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Krauthans passes Arenas's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Knut Krauthans showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Krauthans looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Arenas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Arenas is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Krauthans dives into side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
A lull in the action here.
Arenas can't do much from the bottom here.

Krauthans thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Krauthans throws an elbow but Arenas slips to the side and avoids it well.
Knut Krauthans is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Knut Krauthans comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Krauthans winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
