The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haze fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck for Haze with that takedown attempt.
Helenius tries to work over Haze's front leg with a kick but Haze checks it.
Helenius shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Haze counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Helenius is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Haze pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Haze is trying to work for a kimura but Helenius is defending well.

Haze is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Helenius is just riding it out for now. Haze eventually gives up the hold.
Helenius is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Haze's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Haze's back!
Haze wants to control his opponent's hands but Helenius gets his hands free.

Haze had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Helenius defends it easily.
Helenius wants to stand but Haze has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Haze thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Haze drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Haze has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Helenius is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Haze yanks on the arm and Helenius is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Haze.
