Hammersmith is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Time - Jungle Love. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Hammersmith as Marshall shoots in.
Hammersmith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marshall circles away quickly and effectively.
Marshall misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Marshall swats away the attempt to clinch by Hammersmith.

Marshall shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Marshall showed some decent athleticism there.

Hammersmith is trying to maintain the position but Marshall is very close to passing his half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Marshall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marshall fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Marshall shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hammersmith sprawls well. Hammersmith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Marshall gets slowly back to his feet.

Marshall sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Christian Hammersmith has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Marshall trying to control but Hammersmith is having none of it.
Marshall throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hammersmith because Marshall loaded up on that one.
Marshall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Marshall is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marshall, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
