The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vicious misses with the combination.
A combination from Vicious does no damage.
Vicious throws a series of strikes that have Stranglov backpedaling.
A head kick from Vicious lands but Stranglov takes it in his stride.

It looks like Kirill Stranglov has been cut.
Vicious tries to clinch up but Stranglov circles away and keeps his distance.

Stranglov feints and as Vicious raises his hands in defense, Stranglov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Vicious keeping full guard, as Stranglov tries to pass.
Stranglov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Stranglov drops back looking for a leg! Vicious is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vicious manages to kick Stranglov off! Stranglov jumps back into Vicious's guard.

Vicious is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Vicious looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stranglov is one step ahead there.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Vicious is trying to control the position but Stranglov postures up.
Vicious can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stranglov controls the pace.

Vicious throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vicious throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Vicious wants to sweep but no luck.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Vicious tries to clinch but Stranglov is having none of it.
Horrible takedown by Vicious or perhaps it was just good defense by Stranglov which made him look bad.
Stranglov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Vicious fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stranglov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Vicious lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Stranglov has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Stranglov and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Vicious lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Vicious tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vicious misses with a takedown

and Stranglov counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Vicious is breathing heavily.

Stranglov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Stranglov preventing the sweep.
Stranglov passes into half guard.
Stranglov wants to pass to mount but Vicious is defending the position.

Stranglov is looking for a kimura but Vicious is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stranglov to get the leverage.

Stranglov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kirill Stranglov will probably get the nod.

Vicious throws a sloppy head kick

and Stranglov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vicious's guard.
Vicious trying to keep a closed guard but Stranglov is proving a slippery customer.

Vicious looking for a triangle here. Stranglov is fighting it but it looks tight! Vicious pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Stranglov is tapping out - this one is all over!
