Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DYEP GARCIA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). GARCIA is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: BULAG PIPI AT BINGI. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrick tries to clinch but GARCIA is having none of it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts GARCIA, as that shot connected.
Patrick fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nice body kick from GARCIA.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from GARCIA - that will leave a mark!
Patrick shoots in for a double leg but GARCIA sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nice uppercut there from GARCIA.
GARCIA throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
GARCIA is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
GARCIA misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
GARCIA lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by GARCIA.
GARCIA tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
GARCIA throws a right and a left that Patrick avoids nicely.
GARCIA shoots in but Patrick avoids the takedown attempt easily.
GARCIA tries to clinch but Patrick moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Patrick. GARCIA does a little dance to reset his feet.
Patrick pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

GARCIA closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Patrick to the mat! Patrick manages to get full guard.
Patrick manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. GARCIA manages to get himself to full guard.

Patrick decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on GARCIA, up you get!

Patrick misses with an uppercut. GARCIA saw that one coming.
Patrick misses with a few strikes there.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

GARCIA's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
GARCIA tries to clinch but Patrick is having none of it.
GARCIA shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Patrick as he jumps to the side.

GARCIA gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Patrick has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed GARCIA clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Patrick is breathing heavily.

GARCIA is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
GARCIA cracks Patrick with an open hand slap.
Patrick throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Patrick takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Patrick shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if GARCIA can do anything to dispel that myth.
Patrick prevents GARCIA from standing back up.
Patrick trying to control from half guard but GARCIA is working away.
GARCIA is trying to stand.

GARCIA kicks off Patrick and gets to his feet.
DYEP GARCIA seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Patrick throws a shot to the body.
Patrick lands with a kick to the temple. GARCIA shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
GARCIA fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Patrick.

Patrick drives through with a takedown into guard.
GARCIA wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Patrick manages to pass to side control.
GARCIA is trying to stand back up but Patrick is controlling him
GARCIA is not content to let Patrick control the position.
GARCIA wants to get back to his feet.

Patrick decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Patrick tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but GARCIA swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Patrick. That's going to take a lot out of him.
GARCIA lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

GARCIA misses with a head kick.
GARCIA throws a nice inside leg kick.
Patrick rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but GARCIA moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

GARCIA closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but DYEP GARCIA will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Patrick takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Patrick takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

GARCIA is looking to escape.
Patrick wants to take a breather but GARCIA is having none of it.
Patrick passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for GARCIA!
Patrick won't let GARCIA get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Patrick cracks GARCIA with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Patrick tries to control but GARCIA wriggling away.
Patrick content just to control the position here.
GARCIA's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Patrick has control of GARCIA's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and GARCIA regains control of the situation pretty easily.
GARCIA wants to try and get back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

GARCIA is trying to stand up.
Patrick lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

GARCIA bucks Patrick off and manages to get back to his feet!
Patrick looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? GARCIA is fending him off so far but Patrick persists. Nope, GARCIA circles away and we're back to standing.
Patrick drops his hands momentarily and GARCIA takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

GARCIA shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. GARCIA showed some decent athleticism there.
Patrick misses with some strikes from the bottom.

GARCIA wants to stand up but Patrick has a hold of him and won't allow it.

GARCIA gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
GARCIA swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Patrick tries for a takedown but GARCIA circles away easily
and GARCIA counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Patrick shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with GARCIA but GARCIA pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Patrick.
GARCIA tries to pull guard but Patrick holds him up against the cage and eventually GARCIA drops back down to his feet.

The crowd cheers as GARCIA lands an impressive looking overhand right. Patrick doesn't seem phased though.
GARCIA has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

GARCIA gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Patrick counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for GARCIA!

John Patrick dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

GARCIA lands a really nice looking cross but Patrick seems unphased.
GARCIA darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
GARCIA looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Patrick tries to clinch up but GARCIA circles away and keeps his distance.
Patrick shoots in for a takedown but GARCIA shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
GARCIA tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Patrick paws at him with a jab and circles away.

GARCIA makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

GARCIA wanted to stand there but Patrick had control of the position.
Patrick manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
GARCIA is trying to stand but he's just given Patrick his back.
Patrick wants to control the position but GARCIA frees himself and scrambles - Patrick manages to regain control in side control.
GARCIA wants to get back to his feet.

GARCIA tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Patrick is looking for the choke from the back position but GARCIA is controlling his hands well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

GARCIA is trying to get back to his feet but Patrick has full control of the position and if anything, GARCIA has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Patrick has GARCIA flattened out and is raining down punches.
GARCIA takes a big shot to the side of the head.
GARCIA controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Patrick keeps control of the position easily here as GARCIA tries to buck him off.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
GARCIA covers up after that shot from Patrick.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Patrick.
I think Patrick has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
