Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry O Leary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Leary is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by one day like this. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Higgins!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Larry O Leary!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Higgins looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Higgins lands with a punch from half guard.

Higgins thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed O Leary's head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Higgins loads up on a big right hand but O Leary slips the punch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Higgins.
