The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evo tries for a takedown but Adebisi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Evo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Adebisi throws a series of punches but Evo moves out of range.
Adebisi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Evo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Evo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Adebisi lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

and Adebisi counters with a series of strikes. Evo will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Adebisi counters with a three punch combo that has Evo backing up. Evo nods at Adebisi to acknowledge the strikes.
Evo is breathing heavily.
Adebisi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Evo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Adebisi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Adebisi is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Evo could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Adebisi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Adebisi is nestled in close to Evo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Evo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Adebisi scores with a couple of nice shots.
Adebisi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Evo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Adebisi is looking for a kimura but Evo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Adebisi to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Evo is staying active underneath Adebisi, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
