PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mr Jobber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Espiriquidiberto Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jobber has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Espiriquidiberto Silva will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva connects with a high kick.

It looks like Mr Jobber has been cut.

Silva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jobber napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Silva decides to stand back up. Silva steps back and let's Jobber get back to his feet.

Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Silva is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Jobber seems to have got his legs back now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Jobber is breathing heavily.
Silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
I looks like Silva might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Jobber might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Silva cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Silva mounts Jobber! Really nice guard pass there!

A solid leg kick lands there for Silva.

Silva scores a takedown into full mount!
Jobber keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Silva gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva cracks Jobber with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Jobber is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Silva locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Jobber is forced to tap!
