PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akio Daisuke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Cherry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cherry comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Busters Back kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daisuke moves in looking to clinch but Cherry pushes him off.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Cherry lunges at Daisuke with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Daisuke's hand.

The fight stays on the outside here - Daisuke looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cherry is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Daisuke doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cherry.

Daisuke is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Cherry defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Daisuke tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cherry was well out of range. Poor timing from Daisuke.

Cherry feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
