Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tugg Speedman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Costa's choice of entrance music: Stratovarius - Dreamweaver. Jose Costa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costa walks into a jab.
Speedman throws a jab when Costa was well out of range.
Costa looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Costa throws a hook but Speedman blocks it.
Costa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Speedman throws a lazy right hand but Costa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Speedman checks a low kick from Costa.
Costa throws a nice inside leg kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Costa.
Speedman shoots for a double leg takedown but Costa sprawls well. He's pushed Speedman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Costa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Costa tries to close the distance and clinch but Speedman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

It looks like Tugg Speedman has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Speedman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Costa can pounce on him.

I looks like Costa might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
You can see the frustration on Speedman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Costa is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Speedman's shoulder. That is not cool.
Speedman is trying to work for a sweep but Costa has mounted him!
Speedman wants to hold on but Costa pushes him away.

Speedman dives in and grabs Costa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Costa pushes down on Speedman's head and hops out.

Costa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Speedman.
Speedman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Costa's waist but Costa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Speedman off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tugg Speedman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Speedman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Costa was covering up waiting for the punch and Speedman finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Speedman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Costa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Costa has escaped and now he's on top!

Costa keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Speedman's head.
Costa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Jose Costa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Costa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
