Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yamapi Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasilios Nicko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan comes to the ring accompanied by Ikenai Tayou. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan misses with a takedown attempt - Nicko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Chan throws a body punch but Nicko moves out of range.

and Chan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Vasilios Nicko has been cut.

and Chan makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Nicko really felt that one!

Chan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Chan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nicko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nicko is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Chan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Nicko rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Chan's guard! Nice work there by Nicko!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nicko is pushing down on Chan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chan is fighting to maintain full guard but Nicko has managed to sneak the leg through.

Nicko seems to be looking for submissions.

Nicko content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Chan has locked up a guillotine! Chan's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Nicko is holding on here and Chan must be using up a lot of energy. Nicko has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Chan gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
