The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kortees throws a looping overhand right but Spencer ducks down to avoid it.
A jab from Kortees misses.
Spencer slips a jab and a cross from Kortees.
Spencer looks to score with a jab to the body but Kortees is just out of range.
Kortees looks to throw the jab but Spencer is out of range.
Spencer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Spencer takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kortees throws a right and a left that Spencer avoids nicely.

Spencer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kortees throws out the jab.

Spencer throws a good cross that connects.
Kortees swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Spencer counters by moving into the clinch.

Spencer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kortees throws a left and a right that both miss

and Spencer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kortees's guard now.
Spencer throws a strike but Kortees rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kortees has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Spencer is proving hard to escape from.

Spencer has his feet on Kortees's thighs here. He's pushed Kortees off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Kortees screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
