The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross takes a kick to the side of the head.
Wilson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wilson misses with a head kick.
Wilson moves in looking to clinch but Cross pushes him off.
Cross fails with the takedown.

Wilson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cross has control of an arm but Wilson manages to advance to Wilson's back!
Cross rolls, trying to escape but Wilson keeps control of the position.
Cross looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Wilson scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Cross is looking for a way out.

Cross is rocked!

I really don't envy Cross right now.
Cross seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cross is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Cross breaks Wilson's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Cross tries to free his leg and advance position but Wilson is retaining full guard.
Cross must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Cross takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Cross is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Wilson!

Cross is trying to stick to Wilson's back but Wilson is turning into Cross. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Cross's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wilson.

Cross is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Wilson goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Cross!
