PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose de Jesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ellis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Applejuice by Taintstick. Jason Ellis will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ellis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ellis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ellis closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jesus did well to prevent Ellis getting side control.

Jesus has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Ellis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jesus sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jesus takes one to the chin there.
Ellis's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Ellis duly obliges.
Ellis lands a nice shot that snaps Jesus's head back.
Jesus needs to keep his hands up - Ellis had a free shot at his head there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jesus has gone for a leg lock! Ellis slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jesus's guard.

Jesus has his foot on Ellis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ellis works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Ellis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
