The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Hog.

It looks like Kai Bichard has been cut.
No joy there for Hog, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bichard lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hog takes a step back to recover.

Bichard lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A decent looking cross lands there for Bichard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bichard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bichard wants to pass to mount but Hog is defending the position.

Hog on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hog tries to get out of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bichard seems to be looking for submissions.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hog throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bichard counters with a big head kick but Hog shrugs it off.
Hog misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hog misses with a few strikes there.
Hedge Hog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Bichard slips a jab and a cross from Hog.
Bichard ducks under a wild hook from Hog.
Hog walks into a jab.
Hog throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bichard counters with a nice leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bichard throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hog takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Bichard cracks Hog with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kai Bichard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and Bichard counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hog's knee momentarily.

Hog tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Bichard lands with a good body shot.

Hog tries to keep at a distance but Bichard has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bichard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bichard has closed the distance and engaged Hog in a clinch.
Bichard tries for a takedown but Hog manages to get underhooks.
Bichard makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bichard is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hog gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bichard keeps control of Hog as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Bichard has picked Hog up - he's going for a ride! Bichard dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Hedge Hog has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bichard works to advance to full mount. Hog defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kai Bichard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bichard has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
