The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edler throws a quick inside leg kick.
Edler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chinalot but Chinalot pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Edler fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Edler throws a right and a left that Chinalot avoids nicely.
Chinalot takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Alex Edler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Edler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chinalot paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Chinalot looks up at the clock and then as Edler takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Chinalot smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
