Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Malurky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Deco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malurky's entrance music is I'm On a Boat. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malurky fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Deco decides to stand back up. Deco steps back and let's Malurky get back to his feet.

Deco feints and as Malurky raises his hands in defense, Deco changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Malurky manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Deco manages to get himself to full guard.
Deco bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Malurky's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tommy Deco showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Malurky is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Deco lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Malurky is trying to maintain the position but Deco is very close to passing his half guard.
Deco seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Malurky does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Deco lands a nice short elbow.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Deco is landing with some decent strikes but Malurky is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Deco cracks Malurky with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Malurky is in a horrible position here. Deco smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Deco lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
You can see the frustration on Malurky's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Malurky lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Deco walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Deco wants to clinch up but Malurky keeps it at a distance.
Malurky uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Deco has time to react.
Deco tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Malurky looks to score with a jab to the body but Deco is just out of range.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Deco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Malurky is fending him off so far but Deco persists. Nope, Malurky circles away and we're back to standing.
Deco scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Deco takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

I've got Deco winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
