Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Shogun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emerson Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mauricio Shogun had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mauricio Shogun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Emerson Santos!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shogun tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shogun looks to land a combination but Santos avoids it well.
Santos gets a takedown into half guard.
Santos perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Santos is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Santos is trying to control the action in half guard but Shogun is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Santos missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Santos content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Shogun pushes Santos off looking to stand but Santos dives back in and keeps control.
Santos is pressing down on Shogun's thigh, looking to free his foot. Shogun is holding on for now.
Santos is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Santos fails with a takedown attempt.
Santos tries to clinch but Shogun is having none of it.
Santos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shogun but Shogun pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Santos looks gassed!
Shogun throws a sloppy head kick and Santos moves out of range easily.
Santos tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Shogun is able to avoid easily.
Shogun misses with a takedown
and Santos counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Santos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Shogun is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Shogun has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Santos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Santos looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Santos is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Shogun has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Santos is looking to defend but Shogun has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Santos! Shogun pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Santos taps out and this one is all over!
