Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Suzano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rico tries to clinch but Suzano is having none of it.
Suzano blocks a head kick by Rico.
Suzano showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rico.
Rico tries to score a power double leg takedown but Suzano sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rico somewhat.
Suzano throws a lazy right hand but Rico sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rico looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rico fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Alex Suzano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Rico.
Rico shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Suzano as he jumps to the side.
Rico fails with an attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rico decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Suzano tries to get to full guard but Rico has control of the leg.
Rico is looking to advance position but Suzano won't allow it.
Suzano makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Suzano.

Suzano is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Rico frees his head nicely. Oh but Suzano has switched to an armbar! Rico is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
