Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ed Rosenthal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hank Hill!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill throws a hook to the side of Rosenthal's head but Rosenthal sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rosenthal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hill.
Nice defenses there by Hill.
Hill is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Hill changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rosenthal looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hill passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Rosenthal!

Hill looking to secure an arm triangle but Rosenthal defends it well.
Rosenthal tries to reverse the position but Hill maintains control.

Hill wants to control the action but instead Rosenthal gets a body lock and reverses into Hill's guard! Nice work!

Hill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rosenthal swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hill is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rosenthal throws a hook but Hill avoids it easily.
Rosenthal loads up on a big right hand but Hill slips the punch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rosenthal sends Hill crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Rosenthal is motioning to the referee to let Hill up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Hill fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rosenthal throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rosenthal stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rosenthal wants it to stay on the feet.
Hill drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Hill on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hill lunges at Rosenthal with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rosenthal's hand.
Hill fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rosenthal avoids it really well and circles away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rosenthal sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hill somewhat.

Hill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rosenthal swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A close second round but Hank Hill will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Hill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rosenthal tries to avoid it but Hill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rosenthal to the ground. Rosenthal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Donk. Hill catches Rosenthal right on the button with a cross.

Rosenthal bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Hill closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hill wants to pass to mount but Rosenthal is defending the position.

Hill takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Rosenthal makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rosenthal.

Hill drops back looking for a leg! Rosenthal is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rosenthal manages to kick Hill off! Hill jumps back into Rosenthal's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hill trying to control the position from guard on top but Rosenthal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rosenthal looks to throw the jab but Hill is out of range.
Hill lands with a nice body punch.
Hill throws an overhand right that lands on Rosenthal's shoulder, as Rosenthal tries to avoid the shot.
Hill misses with a body shot.
Hill shoots in looking for a takedown. Rosenthal tries to sprawl out of it but Hill keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rosenthal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ed Rosenthal showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Rosenthal has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
