The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartowski wants to clinch up but Shiima keeps it at a distance.
Bartowski looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Shiima gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Shiima drops back looking for a leg! Bartowski is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bartowski manages to kick Shiima off! Shiima jumps back into Bartowski's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bartowski tries to clinch up but Shiima circles away and keeps his distance.

Shiima shoots in and bounces Bartowski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Shiima stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bartowski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Shiima drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shiima jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bartowski can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Shiima controls the pace.

Shiima closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Shiima thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Shiima is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Bartowski looks calm but he's in trouble here. Shiima gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Bartowski is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Shiima lets go of the hold and Bartowski can pop his arm back in it's socket.
