The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
da Silva is looking to clinch but PEGADOR is avoiding it.
da Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
da Silva slips a jab and a cross from PEGADOR.
PEGADOR shoots in for a takedown but da Silva shows good takedown defense.

da Silva clinches with his opponent.
PEGADOR swings wildly with an uppercut but da Silva uses good head movement to avoid it.
PEGADOR takes a shot to the head.
A frustrated look appears on PEGADOR's face as he tries to break the clinch.
PEGADOR is trying to drag da Silva to the mat but da Silva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Norberto da Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose PEGADOR.
da Silva gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from PEGADOR.
da Silva lands an elbow that stopped PEGADOR in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Jose PEGADOR has been cut.
