The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Johnson.
Johnson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Phoenix on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Johnson. Johnson obviously looking to wear him down.
Johnson throws a head kick that misses.

Johnson drives through and clinches with Phoenix against the ropes.
Phoenix tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Phoenix letting Johnson take a breather here.

Johnson breaks from the clinch.
Johnson tries to clinch but Phoenix is having none of it.
Johnson misses with a head kick.
Johnson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johnson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Phoenix is rocked!

Johnson moves into the clinch successfully.
Oh Phoenix is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
