Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Kazisk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colt Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jorge Kazisk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Colt Carter!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kazisk is trying to defend but Carter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Carter is controlling the pace.
Kazisk is trying to stand.
Carter slows the pace down in half guard.
Let's hope that Carter has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Kazisk is looking to escape.
Kazisk keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Carter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kazisk's head.

Carter not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kazisk is trying to get back to full guard.
Kazisk blocking the ground and pound attempt from Carter.
Carter is nestled in close to Kazisk, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Carter sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kazisk defending well though.

Carter is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kazisk sees it coming and defends easily.
Carter is taking a breather. Kazisk says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Carter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kazisk keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Carter seems content to control.

Kazisk trying to control from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kazisk tries for a takedown but Carter circles away easily
and Carter counters with a two punch combo.
Kazisk is breathing heavily.
Kazisk avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Colt Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch combination from Kazisk misses.

Carter throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kazisk was covering up waiting for the punch and Carter finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Carter drops back looking for a leg! Kazisk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kazisk manages to kick Carter off! Carter jumps back into Kazisk's guard.

Carter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Carter wants to control from the top but Kazisk keeps moving.
Kazisk trying to keep a closed guard but Carter is proving a slippery customer.

Carter has gone for a leg lock! Kazisk slips out almost immediately though and dives into Carter's guard.
Kazisk content to stall in guard here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Carter keeping moving, preventing Kazisk from controlling successfully.

Kazisk got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kazisk has managed to get both his arms back between Carter's legs - danger averted.
Kazisk wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving.
Kazisk controls from within his opponent's guard.
Kazisk trying to control but Carter is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kazisk fails with the takedown

and Carter counters with a single leg into guard. Kazisk didn't expect that.
Kazisk tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Carter looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Carter should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Carter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kazisk's guard.
Carter controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kazisk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Carter is one step ahead there.
Kazisk not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Carter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carter stays in close to Kazisk's body and controls the position.
Kazisk wants to stand but Carter is controlling the position.

Kazisk thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Carter shoots in and drives through. Kazisk sprawls well.

and Carter counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kazisk!

Kazisk is desperately trying to improve his position but Carter has a good base and remains in mount.

Carter is working for a guillotine from mount but Kazisk frees his head quite easily.
Carter is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kazisk can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Carter landing strikes from the mount and Kazisk is in trouble!

Kazisk is trying desperately to improve position.

Colt Carter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kazisk has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carter is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Carter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Carter is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kazisk is surviving well by controlling Carter's body position as best he can.
Kazisk sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Carter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kazisk does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kazisk wants to control but Carter is keeping busy.
Carter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kazisk keeps working.
Carter trying to mount his opponent but Kazisk defends it.

Carter decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Carter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carter lands in his opponent's guard.

Kazisk keeping moving, preventing Carter from controlling successfully.
Carter is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Carter wanted to stand there but Kazisk had control of the position.

Carter drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kazisk dives on top into guard.

Carter throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kazisk uses it to pass to side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kazisk stands up and beckons Carter to his feet.
Kazisk throws a nice outside leg kick.

Carter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kazisk did well to prevent Carter getting side control.

Carter is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Carter not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Kazisk is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Carter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Carter's back!
Kazisk looking to hold on to the position here but Carter rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Jorge Kazisk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Colt Carter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Carter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kazisk defends well.

Colt Carter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Carter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
