Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demedici throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Demedici keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Demedici moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for John.
Demedici defending well as John loads up on a big left hand.
John has a takedown stuffed.
Demedici scores with a one two! John had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

John shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Demedici is trying to defend but John finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

John is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Demedici still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Demedici has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Demedici really doesn't want to stay on the ground with John. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
John is trying to get back to half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A left and a right from Demedici both land. Nice combination.
John connects with a single shot there.
John loads up on a big right hand but Demedici slips the punch.
Demedici feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to John's calf.
Demedici misses with a head kick.
John misses with an uppercut. Demedici saw that one coming.
Demedici misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
John thows a left - swing and a miss!
John throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Demedici stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A head kick from Demedici lands but John takes it in his stride.

It looks like Ron John has been cut.
Demedici thumps John with a low kick.

Demedici tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Demedici clinches up against the cage.

Demedici breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Demedici moves into range and clinches up with John.
John is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ron John. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Demedici tries to land knees in the clinch but John avoids the damage to the body.

Demedici breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Demedici throws a head kick but John moves out of range.
John misses with a looping left.
John takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
John shoots in and drives through. Demedici sprawls well.

John is breathing heavily.
Demedici punishes John's body with a nice straight punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
John takes one to the side of the head.

and John counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Demedici wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A combination from John does no damage.
John just misses with a punch to the body.
John tries to close the distance and clinch but Demedici swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Demedici throws a series of punches but John avoids them all with ease.
John dives in and grabs Demedici's left leg, looking for a takedown. Demedici pushes down on John's head and hops out.
No joy there for Demedici, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Demedici throws a sloppy head kick and John moves out of range easily.
John missing with a left hand there. Demedici was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Demedici clinches up with John and pushes him back against the cage.
Demedici lands a hook that snaps the head of John backwards.
John has Demedici pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Demedici manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Demedici escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Demedici will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

John is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Demedici.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
