Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Appaport fails to land the takedown.
Appaport checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Appaport gets a clinch.
mhaya tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Appaport avoids it.
mhaya jumps guard but Appaport stands there with mhaya around his waist. mhaya gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

mhaya dodges an elbow strike from Appaport.
mhaya lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Appaport is trying to force a seperation but mhaya has the dominant position.

Appaport tries for a takedown but mhaya sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Appaport goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, mhaya has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Appaport but great work by mhaya.

Appaport is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. mhaya looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Appaport! Submission of the night perhaps?
