Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommie Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommie Morrison!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrison fails with a takedown attempt.

Quinton Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommie Morrison.
Jackson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ground and pound from Jackson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Morrison throws a hook but Jackson blocks it.
Jackson circles away from the clinch attempt.

Jackson moves into the clinch successfully.
Morrison jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jackson walks away with a smile on his face. Morrison gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson showed some decent athleticism there.

Jackson stands up out of the half guard.

Jackson has Morrison up against the cage in a clinch.
Morrison tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Jackson keeps control of Morrison as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Jackson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jackson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Jackson has his hands on Morrison's head, controlling the position.

Jackson has Morrison pulled in close to control his posture.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Morrison moves into full mount! Jackson won't be happy about that!

Morrison swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Jackson has Morrison pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Morrison manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Jackson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Morrison defends it easily.

Morrison wants to stand and escape but instead Jackson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Jackson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Morrison has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Morrison's legs - danger averted.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Morrison is bucking up trying to escape but Jackson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Jackson keeps control of the position as Morrison tries to break free.
Morrison takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Morrison trying to control the action but Jackson just sinks the hooks in.
Morrison might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jackson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Jackson throws strikes from the back but Morrison rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Morrison.
Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Morrison looks to clinch

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Morrison has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jackson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Morrison wants to get back to his feet but Jackson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Jackson stands up and waves to Morrison to follow him.

Jackson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Morrison won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tommie Morrison has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Quinton Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Jackson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
