These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Haller is looking to control Alavaara's arms but Alavaara gets an underhook and turns him. Now Haller has his back to the cage.

Haller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Haller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alavaara moves away.
Haller looks to land a right hand but Alavaara moved out of range.

Haller throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Alavaara counters with a series of strikes. Haller will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Alavaara makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Alavaara lands with a cross.
Alavaara is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Haller misses with a combination
and Alavaara makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Haller tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Alavaara to counter with a crisp jab.
Alavaara stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alavaara walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Haller drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Alavaara swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Haller's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
