PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pueblo Leaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oscar Diaz told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pueblo Leaf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Oscar Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leaf ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Diaz moves away.
Leaf misses with a series of wild punches.
Leaf connects with a body shot.
Leaf lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Leaf throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Leaf lands a left and a right that send Diaz crashing to the mat, dazed. Leaf thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Diaz is rocked!

It looks like Oscar Diaz has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Diaz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Diaz is looking to clinch but Leaf is avoiding it.
Diaz avoids the body shot from Leaf.

Diaz clinches up with Leaf and pushes him back against the cage.
Leaf wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Diaz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Leaf prevents it.
Diaz tries for a takedown. No joy.
Pueblo Leaf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oscar Diaz.
Diaz tries to land knees in the clinch but Leaf avoids the damage to the body.

Diaz wants a takedown.
Diaz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Diaz breaks from the clinch.
Diaz fails to land the takedown.
Diaz looks gassed!
Leaf throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice sprawl there from Leaf as Diaz shoots in.
Leaf throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Diaz moves in looking to clinch but Leaf pushes him off.
Diaz blocks the body kick.

Leaf drops Diaz with a beautiful combination! Diaz stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Leaf is looking for the KO!
Diaz is still on wobbly legs! Can Leaf finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Diaz avoids the head kick by Leaf.
Diaz seems to have recovered his senses.
Diaz is trying desperately to land a takedown but Leaf is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Diaz.
Leaf misses with the combination.
Leaf stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Leaf wants it to stay on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Leaf lands with a right and another and another! Diaz is in big trouble! Leaf lands again and this time it's lights out for Diaz! A quality knockout there for Leaf.
