Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gene St Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Shetz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St Piper's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, In The Morning. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as John Shetz enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Piper fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shetz avoids it really well and circles away.
Shetz wants to clinch up but St Piper keeps it at a distance.
Shetz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Shetz with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Shetz on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Shetz using the Thai plumb to throw knees but St Piper has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
St Piper pushes Shetz back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Still in the clinch, St Piper scores with a nice short uppercut.
St Piper blocking some punches.
Shetz blocks an elbow strike from St Piper.
Shetz swings wildly with an uppercut but St Piper uses good head movement to avoid it.
Shetz tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
St Piper gets through Shetz's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Shetz with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Shetz misses with an elbow strike.
Shetz lands with a right to the head.
St Piper pulls guard successfully.
St Piper has his foot on Shetz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shetz works his way back into a safe position though.
Shetz looking to improve position, pressing down on St Piper's thigh with his hand. St Piper seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Shetz paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Shetz's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! St Piper picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
