Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hank Blair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zero comes into a darkened arena with his song building. José the Bronx Rican - Spittin' Narcicism kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Hank Blair could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Max Zero's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Zero!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blair defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zero.

Zero tries to close the distance and clinch but Blair swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Blair goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Blair swats away the attempt to clinch by Zero.

Blair lands a nice hook to Zero's body. Zero takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Blair does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Zero fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Blair avoids it really well and circles away.

Zero darts in and clinches Blair up against the cage.
Zero drops down looking for an ankle pick but Blair pulls his leg out and moves away.

Blair gets caught flat footed, as Zero shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blair wants to sweep here but Zero controlling him for the moment.

Zero drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blair looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blair looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blair!
Zero is looking for a sweep.
Blair is looking to take a break and control but Zero is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Zero on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Blair postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zero accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Zero thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Zero won't allow Blair to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Zero gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Blair.
Blair is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Blair tries to keep at a distance but Zero has taken the fight into the clinch.
Zero jumps guard but Blair stands there with Zero around his waist. Zero gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Zero is working for takedown but Blair is calmly controlling the position for now.
Zero is trying to drag Blair to the mat but Blair just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Zero looks gassed!

Blair breaks the clinch.
Zero needs to keep his hands up - Blair had a free shot at his head there.
Zero tries to clinch up but Blair circles away and keeps his distance.
Blair moves into range and connects with a jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zero is stalling here. Blair is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Zero seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Blair has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Zero is looking for a kimura but Blair is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Zero to get the leverage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Blair lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Zero has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Blair will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Zero shoots for a double leg takedown but Blair sprawls well. He's pushed Zero's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
