Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Ringo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Frazier! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ringo dodges the punch combination from Frazier.
A bone on bone clash there as Ringo blocks the leg kick.
Ringo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Ringo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Frazier looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Frazier is trying to control Ringo's posture but Ringo avoids it. Ringo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frazier keeps working. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Frazier is looking for a sweep. Ringo decides to take the fight back to the feet. Frazier attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Frazier fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ringo manages to avoid it. Frazier displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Frazier swings for the body but Ringo moves out of range.
Ringo lands with a nice body punch. Frazier closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ringo circles away. Frazier looks gassed! Ringo fails with the takedown and Frazier counters with a flying knee. Nice. This has been an exciting period of action! Ringo closes the distance looking to clinch and Frazier decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ringo's guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ringo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Frazier wants to control from the top but Ringo keeps moving. Ringo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Frazier has his hands clasped together but Ringo extends an breaks Frazier's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ringo.
