The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ventura tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ventura tries to close the distance and clinch but Dentalplan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ventura lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Ventura looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Ventura is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dentalplan sees it coming and defends easily.

Broncko Dentalplan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ventura is nestled in close to Dentalplan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
