Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steven Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Na Chuan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chuan shoots in for a takedown but Knight shows good takedown defense.
Knight misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Knight lands a nice leg kick that just misses Chuan's sensitive parts.
Knight dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chuan. That did some damage!
Chuan avoids the head kick by Knight.

Chuan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Knight is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Knight bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chuan's guard.
Knight trying to control the position from guard on top but Chuan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Chuan looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Knight passes into side control.
Knight throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Chuan works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Knight lands with a kick to the temple. Chuan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Chuan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Knight is fending him off so far but Chuan persists. Nope, Knight circles away and we're back to standing.
Knight tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Knight throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Knight looks to land a body kick but Chuan moved away.
Knight throws a sloppy head kick and Chuan moves out of range easily.

Chuan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Knight.
Knight looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Chuan scores a takedown into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chuan prevents Knight from getting the reversal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knight is breathing heavily.
Knight is working hard here to advance position.
Chuan looking to control and managing it successfully.
Chuan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Knight is looking to escape.
Knight is controlling an arm, preventing Chuan from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Chuan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Knight is surviving well by controlling Chuan's body position as best he can.

Chuan jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Knight manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Chuan wants to control but Knight is keeping him busy.
Knight is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chuan advances nicely into full mount.

Knight gets back to half guard.
Knight is staying active underneath Chuan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Chuan is looking to advance position but Knight won't allow it.

Chuan is trying to control the action in half guard but Knight is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Knight is defending against the submission attempts here by Chuan.
Knight makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Knight.
Chuan passes into half guard.
Knight is positioning himself well to prevent Chuan advancing to mount.
Knight is looking to control Chuan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Knight avoid being mounted?

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Chuan on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Knight lunges at Chuan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Chuan's hand.
Knight knocks Chuan to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Chuan is rocked!

It looks like Na Chuan has been cut.
Knight cracks Chuan with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Chuan is still in real trouble! Can Knight finish him?

Knight stands up and beckons Chuan to his feet.
Steven Knight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knight scoring well with a low kick there.
Na Chuan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Knight connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Whack! Knight lands a heavy head kick that drops Chuan. The ref tackles Knight to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Chuan was done.
