The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davison shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Silva is trying to defend but Davison finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Davison seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Davison is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davison tries to stand but can't do so whilst Silva controls his leg.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva is staying active underneath Davison, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Silva cracks Davison with a big right hand and Davison goes down!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Silva drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Silva seems to have locked his on tight now - Davison screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Silva, as he picks up the win!
