Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Larinzo White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Royce Castro!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than White was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
White throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

White looking for a guillotine from mount but Castro is having none of it.
White punching from mount but Castro doing a good job of avoiding damage.
White throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
White looking to ground and pound but Castro is blocking nicely.

White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Castro holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as White tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
White sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

White goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Castro turns into him and now he's in White's guard.

Castro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
White is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

White is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

White had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Castro defends it easily.
White keeping moving, preventing Castro from controlling successfully.
Castro advances position into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Castro thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
White is trying to control Castro's posture but Castro avoids it.

Castro working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Castro tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
White gets back to half guard.

Castro is working for a submission of some sort.

Castro is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Castro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with White. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Castro looks gassed!

White wants to control but Castro is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
White fails with a takedown attempt.
Castro has his takedown stuffed

and White counters with a single leg into guard. Castro didn't expect that.
White advances position into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Castro is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
