The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuervo shoots in for a double leg but Quong sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cuervo shoots for a takedown but Quong saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Quong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cuervo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Quong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jose Cuervo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck for Cuervo with that takedown attempt.

Quong has Cuervo pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Cuervo is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Quong - that's hurt Cuervo badly! Oh, another knee lands and Cuervo is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Cuervo doesn't seem to be complaining.
